Christmas Offering
Church family, friends, and outside supporters,
Over the last month, our church has been able to come alongside the homeless non-profit that shares a name with us, Sanctuary Indy, to donate backpacks full of items that can be given to those in need. We recently hosted our first ever FEAST, on the far-east side, where we welcomed a bunch of our friends on the street for a meal, fully paid for and served by our church family.
This partnership between our organizations is allowing us to be a church not just around a stage on Sundays, but in the streets always.
And so, as we near the end of the calendar year, we have a unique opportunity to turn up the dial of generosity in our church and to amplify the good in our neighborhood and in our city.
This month, we’re challenging our church to give over and above what we’re already giving with a goal of $30,000. As a 1-year-old church plant, this is an ambitious proposition, but generosity is a part of the core ethos that we want to culturally shape here in our community.
It is clear that chronic homelessness is a problem in our city. Sustainable, affordable housing is an issue that we feel we–as the Church–must address.
So, this year’s Christmas Offering, up to our $30,000 goal will go–100%–towards building a tiny home within Sanctuary Indy’s community network set to open in late 2025 or early 2026. Anything over and above $30,000, we’ll hold for future operational use.
It is our hope that, long term, our Sanctuary CIRCLES will get to adopt this tiny home and we’ll be able to serve and witness to this marginalized population as they get back on their feet and are reintegrated into our city.
We’re asking you to join us in a surge of generosity as we seek to unleash good in our neighborhood and in the neighborhoods all over the city of Indianapolis.
Would you consider giving a special one-time gift to this year’s Year-End Christmas offering here at The Sanctuary?
We have a vision to see Indianapolis, as it is in Heaven. It’s going to take each of us to help see that vision become a reality.
